Assigning Translations

In IniLingo you can also ask for professional review on your pages, or you can even assign a language to your own translator.

This Review is a special feature of IniLingo whereby you can smooth out the machine translation to make it consistent and have no surprising errors in it. It's not a full translation but the result is a professional sounding page and it's inexpensive compared to professional translations (about 10x cheaper). In short, you can have your page professionally available in other languages without spending hundreds or thousands of dollars on pro translators.

To assign review or translations you need to open your project first and then click on the Edit button next to the language you want to get professionaly translated or reviewed.

The Editor window appears for the given language.

On the left you will see all pages so far visited and translated on your webpage.

To select one for professional review or translation click on the little figure on the right of the path. You will see that its color changes. It is now selected for professional translation or review.

At the bottom on the left you will see a note about how many characters you selected so far for translation or review, and you will also see how much it would cost if you submitted it for IniLingo review.

IMPORTANT: Only unapproved segments are included and lines appearing more than once on your pages are only included once.

You can now do two things.

If you have your own translator for a language click on the Own translator button.

You will get a little dialog where you can assign the translation or review to a person you select. You have to type in the person's email address and they will get an email that they have translations assigned to them.

They can now sign up for IniLingo for free and will have access to the language and the files you have assigned to them. They can then review and edit the translations and publish them as well.

When they are done they can send back the translation to you by pushing a button.

The other option is to send your files for review to us. In the lower left corner you will see how much it would cost if we had these parts reviewed.

To order the review, click on the Order review button and your files will be submitted for review. Similarly our Reviewer will have access only to the language and the files you assigned to them.

While you have a file assigned to review or to your translator you will see Under review below the path on the left. Generally speaking you should not edit those files while it's in translation or review by others. You CAN review and change it, but be notified that your changes and the translator's changes might collide in rare cases.

If you have your pages assigned to your translator you can revoke the files from them by clicking on the Delete button at the bottom on the left side next to the name of the translator.
